Alon Yavnai - Travel Notes (obliqsound, 2008)

Alon Yavnai(알론 야브나이)의 "ObliqSound" 레이블에서의 첫 번째 앨범 "Travel Notes"가 발매되었다. 

페루와 모로코, 브라질의 배음(Harmonics)에서 영향을 받고, 카포베르데의 리듬을 섞은 클래시컬한 재즈.

Shlomo Gronich작곡 Shir Ahava Tari(Fresh Love Song)는 멜로디가 애잔하고 사랑스럽다. 

Travel Notes의 두드러진 improvisations은 이스라엘 멜로디에 의해 착안되었다고 한다. 

앨범 타이틀 "Travel Notes"는 두가지 뜻으로 해석된다. 

Yavnai는 말한다.

`그것은 나의 여행들의 전역에 걸쳐서 나와  항상 동행한 음악 메모들과 여행 일기로서 받아들여질 수 있다.´

Outstanding improvisations of the "Travel Notes" was inspired by the melody of Israel.

Travel Notes is a musical diary of Israel pianist Alon Yavnai’s life as a touring musician with a multi-national upbringing, 

including influences from his culture from Israel, travels in Cape Verde, Angola, and Brazil.

Alon Yavnai (Hebrew: אלון יבנאי‎; born 1969) is an Israel-born jazz pianist.

Biography

Born in Israel, Yavnai began playing piano at the age of four.

He has professionally accompanied singers since the age of thirteen.

He graduated from the Thelma Yalin High School for Arts and subsequently the Givatayim Consevatory,

both in Israel. Alon later furthered his studies at the Berklee School of Music in Boston,

Massachusetts and soon after took first place in the Great American Jazz Piano Competition.
