Kodak Retina II / 1937
I bought this beautiful little camera from a Retina collector and enthusiast. I understand it was one of the first cameras built to take (Kodak) 35mm film. It has a very nice f2.8 lens and is cometically in very good condition. It is in full working order. It folds up to fit in the palm of your hand.
Thanks to Ismail, the Retina collector who sold me this camera. e has recently informed me that its serial number, 957476, indicates it is the very frst Type 142 Retina II (out of 4,600 odd) to be produced. So it really is a little treasure.
Added to that, I have been delighted with the results of the first film I put through this Retina. Many of the shots are usable - focussing and exposure works as well as many modern SLRs and the quality of the pictures is far beter than I expected.
