playful date by Vancouver based Bruno Hubert Trio.

Hubert, a Quebec born pianist, chooses tunes we all know,

but his off-kilter understanding of rhythm,

his dogged attack and his sweet

singing lines give this work an unkempt kind of originality.

Their charged reading of Don Grolnick's "Cost Of Living" stands out.
